Vinted seller finds new way to wrap T-shirt but people say it's 'disrespectful'

Vinted sellers are going to new lengths to make sure their items are delivered safely - and people have been left divided by one man's unusual wrapping method, with some dubbing it "disrespectful".

If your wardrobes are spilling out and you are in need of a good clear out, or you are looking for a way to to get some extra cash, selling your clothes and other unwanted items online could be the perfect way. is a popular go-to destination for flogging unwanted items online.

While many opt for mailing bags or cardboard boxes, often these can be an extra expense if you don't have them lying around the home. So instead of loosing out on cash, people have been using alternative items as packaging.

Recently, one man had no shame when he sent a T-shirt in a yogurt pot to a buyer. Yes, you read that correctly.

Alex Cojuhari shared a video on hisaccount which has raked in a whopping 21.6million views. The video, which was jokingly captioned "lots of love", showed Alex going into his fridge and pulling out a yogurt to eat.

Once he was finished, he thoroughly washed the tub before wrapping up a T-shirt and stuffing it inside the tub. "I hope who bought my T-shirt on Vinted doesn't get mad," he said.

And it seems that some were on board with his unconventional packaging hack. One wrote: "Honestly, as long as it's thoroughly clean, why would anyone care?" Another said: "That's so smart actually."

A third commented: "All I see is sustainability zero waste environmental awareness upcycling and creativity." Another agreed, and said: "Unpopular opinion but I love creative packing like this it's my favourite thing about Vinted."

But others didn't appear as impressed with Alex's methods. One commented: "No respect. Disgusting." Another blasted: "You're so f***ing gross." A third agreed: "Oh OK, so I'm never buying anything from Vinted… y'all are f***ing gross."

Another said: "And then there's me who uses a perfect box, gives a gift and a thank you card and the buyer tries to scam me." One other pointed out: "I have received things from Vinted packed in different things (e.g. cereal box) and I loved it but this doesn't seem ok for me. Even when you wash it, there could be still something left from yogurt."

Sharing their unusual packaging experience, another Vinted user said: "I always try to pack it nicely and once I got a shirt in a lasagna package.. I mean it was clean but still. There was food in there."

Another added: "I received an original Jean Paul Gaultier watch in frozen fries pack from Vinted." While another shared that they had received an item in a noodle box.
